Executive Coaching and Mentoring

Coaches will often deliver a non-directive form of development focusing on improving performance and developing an individual. Personal factors may be included but the emphasis is on performance at work.

 

They will often identify and prioritise improvement areas, break down your end goal into smaller goals and work with you to shape and grow your mindset.  In the SU environment we believe more is needed and so have developed ‘Coaching +’.

 

Coaching+ effectively combines coaching, mentoring and problem solving whilst maintaining a focus on the individual’s personal wellbeing.  We will guide, advise, and support you to be the best you can be; we will take time to understand you and the challenges you’re facing and then advise you based on our understanding of the problem and our personal experience with the aim of helping you towards your goals and importantly offering solutions as we go.  If you are then found to be lacking resource or expertise we can if required step in to help you deliver specific outcomes or projects.

 

Most importantly we will look to increase your self-confidence, develop communication and leadership skills, and help you gain exposure to new perspectives. As a result, you will be more likely to feel inspired and motivated to progress in your careers.

Officer Training

We offer both individual and Officer team support to suit your needs. 

 

We offer individual leadership support to Presidents in line with our Coaching + programme but slightly adapted in recognition of the fact that these roles are often filled by inexperienced young leaders. 

 

Our team support can range facilitation of workshops to help align manifesto pledges with Organisational strategy, to induction training, to days focussed on leadership, teamwork and communication. 

 

We will help your teams and leaders develop more quickly, understand their relative strengths and team dynamics, help produce more effective delivery of objectives.

CEO Support

As well as offering our Coaching+ programme and bespoke 360 degree appraisals for CEOs, we can also offer support in other ways. 

 

From acting as a ‘critical friend’ on new proposals, initiatives or ideas, or providing bespoke training to upskill them on key areas such as governance, corporate law, risk management, and health and safety management we have the solutions you are looking for.

 

We can also provide interim CEO support if your CEO is absent for a prolonged period or if they need to take an extended break to recharge their batteries.
